Things That Make People Happy
(A four month long experiment)
- goats; drinking tea to fill in empty spaces; waking up early to read 100 more pages of a book I keep putting off to the side; foxes and fables about foxes; smoothing the knots and twists of your back and then resting on top, while you sleep; cats; having a paroxysm of laughter at the stupidest thing to obtain the most confused faces; bums; kissing your cheek so you scrunch up your nose; finding new callouses on my fingers; being in tune; nice doggies; inspiring others; late night conversations..
- Waking up in the middle of the night, hot chocolate with the marshmallows in the packaging, fuzzy socks, that moment when you really look into someones eyes, giraffes, endless movie fests, watching guys play video games, and big blankets. c:
- Lol hearing the birds chirp and playing with the dogs on my route just fills me with happiness. Also, I’ve considered on looking into doing a three month trip (sometime down the road when I lose my job or have had enough) to a stay/volunteer thing at a Buddhist temple. You’d be able to teach monks English while learning about meditation, see Nepal, learn Tibetan, ect. ect.
- forehead kisses, new CDs, advil, new episodes of Bob’s Burgers, drawing band logos, listening to Pink Floyd while drifting to sleep, wind chimes, science and fruit make me happy
- drugs
- Punk rock, sex, marijuana, writing, coffee and boobs
- Blowjobs
- today, sleep, documentaries, and some nice brownies make me happy.
- Music makes me happy. People who can make me laugh when i’m feeling crappy. New books make me happy. The thought of a cozy couch and smell of a candle make me happy. The feeling of invincibility in a punk show pit makes me very happy. A freshly cleaned room, the smell of fall, or the smell outside after a spring rain. Driving on a sunny day with a cool breeze through the window and some punk/ska playing.
- Spending time with people I love, drawing in the middle of the night, attempting to make music, coffee in the morning, listening to music that I enjoy, forgetting about useless shit and focusing on what matters, travelling, not being stressed about anything, my own thoughts, nature and being in it. The list goes on, my friend.
- seeing your face ;*
- looking at old birthday cards makes me happy. seeing old people hold hands makes me very happy. when a stranger smiles at me and it didn’t come across as fake or forced makes me happy. when i see people in love it makes me happy for them. it makes me happy when i see someone in a fantastic mood. it makes me happy when i see small acts of kindness in my large overwhelming city.
- a brandy-new bag of weed, the way my boyfriend’s voice sounds when he first wakes up, when my rat comes when i call her, the sound of firewood splitting, pole dancing, having gas in my car, having the day off.
- kingdom hearts
- What I love, makes me happy, makes me get up in the morn —— myself
- My puppy is what makes me happy. She is like a child.
- I love people that can make me laugh. I love people’s voices when they’re tired in the morning. I love the feeling of invincibility during a punk show. I love when a song can give you goosebumps. I love the smell of autumn air. I love visiting a new town and seeing everything for the first time. I love knowing the solution to a problem. I love talking to people about little details in life, hearing different viewpoints. Haha, thanks for helping me remember all those reasons to be happy :)
- The mountains, climbing on rocks, Halloween, Amanda Palmer, Andrew Jackson Jihad, ska shows and skanking, the smell and feel of the air before the rain, the smell and feel of the air after the rain, the smell of burning leaves, bonfires, beer, my best friend’s unborn baby, October seasonal stuff, The sandman comics, Neil Gaiman, delicious healthy food, Yellowstone, folk punk, beer pong aaaaaand some other things aaaaand Patrick!
